1 Training overview

(1) Name of the training

"FY 2017 joint map training for civil protection by Tokyo Metropolitan Government"
(civil protection training implemented based on Tokyo Metropolitan Government Civil Protection Plan and Shinjuku Ward Civil Protection Plan)

(2) Objective

Confirmation of cooperation of countermeasures headquarters at ward level and Tokyo Metropolitan Government level as well as collecting information and confirming countermeasures for when terrorism with chemical agents and explosives occurs

(3) Implementation date and time

01/31/2018 (Wednesday) 13:00 to 16:30

(4) Assumption in training

During the international sports event, multiple terrorism attacks occurred in large-scale sports facilities in Tokyo and downtown areas around the station where many visitors including tourists from overseas are gathered.

(5) Training content

Initial response prior to the situation being acknowledged (disaster information collection, countermeasure consideration)
Evacuation guidance for citizens (consider public relations and evacuation procedure)
Rescuing the victims (coordinating the location of evacuation centers, and safety confirmation)
