Shelters are places for evacuees to live temporary when they lose their homes in a disaster. For example, public facilities including elementary and junior high schools, and community centers.
2Interregional temporary refuge
Place to evacuate to when whole regions are in danger of expanded fires from an earthquake, etc. The site must be about 10 hectares or more so that people can protect themselves from radiant heat. The sites include large parks, apartment complexes, and universities.
